Top 10 Things Brides-to-be Need To Do Before They Get Married

You have the ring, you’ve got the date, and you’re so looking forward to the getting married. It’s so exciting being a bride-to-be and you should enjoy every minute. But, are all your energies focused on you becoming a future new wife? Have you forgotten anything?

Surveys tell us that most brides-to-be take care of many of the big details relating to walking down the aisle and preparing for their future role as a Mrs., but not much time is spent on thinking about what they are leaving behind. To be ready for any new role in life, you must first say goodbye to what you are leaving behind.

When you are a bride-to-be, you are making a giant step from being single to being a partner in a marriage. That’s a huge transition and one that should be carefully considered and then celebrated to the fullest.

Weddings are about the couples’ union, bridal showers are about the new couple setting up their home, but the bachelorette party is the only celebration that’s all about you. The bachelorette party is a special celebration with your friends, to say goodbye to your single life. It’s like a “singledom” graduation. You’ve done it, and now you’re off to the next step – Getting Married!

So what do you need to do before you tie the knot? Anything and everything that you won’t be able to do once you’re hitched. Of course there are limits, because after all you are part of a couple even though you’re not married yet. The last thing you want to do is get the groom-to-be upset. Imagine having to send back all those cool presents you’ve received from your registry.

But there are many things that you did as a bachelorette that are okay to do on your last moments as a Miss. Here are just a few.

1. Stay in your PJs all day, watching sappy romance movies with a box of Kleenex.
2. Get up in the middle of the night for a pint of your favorite ice cream.
3. Call an ex-boyfriend and flirt till he starts annoying you.
4. Have a girl’s only slumber party and play games that let you dish about your past romances.
5. Let your cat share your dinner with you.
6. Do something special with your mother. She deserves some quality time before your life becomes “all about hubby”.
7. Go on a major shopping spree buying only items that he would never buy…comfy sweat pants and granny panties.
8. Make an appointment for medical spa services and get that extra hair gone forever.
9. Use your sexiness to get a discount on whatever you need…like car repairs, shoes, or landscaping.
10. Celebrate your last night out on the town with your girlfriends!
